The pendant is carved from black obsidian into a charming fox in an alert resting pose. Contrasting polished and matte areas add to the uniqueness of this design. On the first bead, a Lhasan greeting is carved. This discerning yet relaxed figure has an almost feline quality. Foxes in folklore have complex characteristics, ranging from playful trickster, to skillful ranger, to watchful protector. As an amulet, this little companion figurine could double as a warding eye.
